2008
|
The Cruise Connection still has space available to celebrate Australia Day 2008 in Sydney Harbour aboard the biggest cruise liner ever to be based here, P&O’s 70,000 tonne Pacific Dawn that’s the same size as legendary QE2.

On January 26 itself she’ll be anchored off Bradley’s Head to view the Australia Day Ferries Race, Surf Board Race, Tall Ships Procession and yachting events, before moving around to Darling Harbour for the fireworks.
A $100,000 entertainment package will include for kids Humphrey B Bear and the Hooley Dooleys, magicians, backpacks and lolly bags, an ABBAration show for under-15s, and unlimited soft drinks for under-18s.
For adults there’ll be performances by Maria Prior, cabaret artists Matt Hetherington and Beven Addinsall, the 1950s nightclub music of Swing Central, a Three Tenors tribute, and comedian Vince Sorrenti.
